This review is long overdue. I've been going to Cafecito for nearly a year, and I cannot say enough good things about this business. Cafecito is a family-owned Cuban restaurant, and I'm so glad I came across them in 2023. Being from the East Coast, Cuban restaurants were one of my favorite places to visit, not only because of their great food but also because of their coffee!! So, when I found them last year, I was ecstatic The food is excellent, and the flavors are authentic. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner; I don't think you can go wrong with anything. Everything my friends and I have tried has been great. I frequently go for my cortadito doble, and the owner occasionally makes this killer banana bread, which I cannot help but get multiples of. Yes, they are that good. In all seriousness, you can't go wrong with anything. The restaurant is small but inviting. They always play salsa and Latin music. The staff is amazing!!! Eric, Karen, and Leslie are the faces of the business, and Axel in the back is the sweetest as well. They are always so welcoming, not to mention trustworthy!! and always have a smile, even during the busiest hours. I absolutely recommend Cafecito to everyone!!

Nice little hole in the wall we stopped by on our way up to Ventura to escape the heat. It wasn't too crowded and ordering was simple, just order at the front and take a seat and food was brought to us. Gf ordered the Ropa con papa and I got the Abuelita and both were yummy! The cut up churros on the small pancake was nice and filling and balanced well with the cortadito I got! A great breakfast stop along the way. Parking can be hard since it's a smallish lot but worth a visit if you're in the area!

We were staying right up the road and walked down to have a quick breakfast. There are so many delicious sounding options it was so hard to decide what to get! I ended up trying to Jerk Pressed Sandwich and it was delicious. So much flavor and just the right amount of heat without overpowering it. The bread was nice and crispy. The service was really fast, overall positive experience and would absolutely come back to try one of their many amazing options on their menu!

Whenever I walk in here I always feel welcomed. The service is nice, it feels clean, and it's a friendly atmosphere. The food is great, I typically order the Cubano (pressed sandwich). I describe it as a brunch sandwich and it always hits the spot. The platillos are delicious as well, a lot of options to choose from. Last but not least, the coffee. It's a must when you come here! When you get here I recommend street parking on Park Granada. Not a lot of parking in the plaza.

Very good Cuban fare! They have a wide selection of sandwiches and a good selection of plates as well. Plates come with rice, beans, and plantains. I really enjoyed the steak palomilla, and the lechon was well liked also. The chicken was also good. We wish they had a chicken dish with mojo and onions though. Service was friendly. The ambience is very casual. It's a small cafe where you order at the counter. Will definitely be back!

Finally decided to come here for lunch. It's located in a small plaza with a small parking lot. The entrance and exit is just one way/lane, so just make sure you are going the correct way. The cafe is small and dark inside. You order from the cashier and grab a table afterwards. There are a couple of tables outside, but it's summer and I'm not about to melt outside. The cafe was nice and aired conditioned. I really appreciate that because this time of year, a lot of restaurants try to save on the power bills, and will either not turn on the a/c or set it at a higher temp. Ordered the lechon platillo for $16.49. The food came out in about 5 minutes. At first, I thought that the food amount was on the small side, but then as I started eating, I noticed they give about 5-6 slices of pork. Though thinly slice, I thought it was sufficient enough. Everything on the plate tasted great, though, I thought the pork was a little bit on the salty side. The plantains was really good and I would have liked more. it's soft and sweet with a little bit of burnt sugar on it. Just the way I like. Next time I come here, I will definitely order plantains on the side and try the cuban sandwich. Service was great and courteous. They also play Cuban music which definitely gives it a festive vibe. The cafe is on the smaller side, so larger groups might be an issue at peak times.

My friends and I found Cafecito while we were in the area and decided to give it a try. We arrived around 11 AM on a Sunday and it was still busy. Parking lot was filling up, but we were able to find a spot to park in the plaza. This restaurant is pretty small with few tables inside and outside. I decided to order the iced Cafecito. I didn't realized the default option was hot. I asked the staff if it was possible to make the drink iced instead and she was able to do it! As for the food, I decided to get the Chimichurri sandwich. It was delicious and had a good portion to it. One of my friends got a plate and said it was also delicious! We all got our orders within a reasonable time after ordering. They also have some slice of cakes located at the front register. I picked up a red velvet slice and it tasted as expected!

I first tried cafecito in Chicago, loved it then and was happy this place open in LA a few years ago. Same owners, same consistency which is rare. We got the plate Ropa vieja and Shrimp Ceviche salad those and the cuban sandwich comforts in chicago so a must here. Also ordered the special which was steak and shrimp marinated with coffee. I fucking love coffee rubs! It was a sunny day so got iced mocha. Everything was seasoned perfectly, was just sad i couldn't eat more. Great portions, great price and you leave satisfied, not too full just right.

Stumbled upon this place on a drive through Calabasas and needed to try it! I love Cuban food but have recently stopped eating beef so I was pleased to see some veganized classics like the vegan vaca frita. The vaca frita was well seasoned and had that classic citrusy flavor. The beans could've used a bit more flavor but everything paired very well together. The price was also very reasonable considering the portion sizes and location!
